About the training

The course equips engineers with the skills needed for collaborative decision-making, design, construction, and operation, along with critical knowledge related to the growing demand for low-carbon buildings with specialized topics, including implications for Indigenous and other equity, deserving groups. The course also provides exposure to new technologies, materials, tools and approaches to equip engineers with the knowledge necessary to implement low-carbon initiatives in their professional day to day. 

While this course was primarily designed for engineers, we have implemented mechanisms to enable all infrastructure practitioners, regardless of their backgrounds, to successfully complete the program.

This six-week online course equips engineers with the skills needed for collaborative decision-making, design, construction, and operation, along with critical knowledge related to the growing demand for low-carbon buildings with specialized topics, including implications for Indigenous and other equity, deserving groups. The course also provides exposure to new technologies, materials, tools and approaches to equip engineers with the knowledge necessary to implement low-carbon initiatives in their professional day to day.

Offered through the Climate Risk Institute (CRI), new sessions will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays begin in January 2024.  

Capacity is limited to 50 people per session.

Session #2 – Thursdays from 12-2pm ET starting January 18, ending February 22. 

Session #3 – Thursdays 6:30pm to 8:30pm ET starting January 18, ending February 22 

Session #4 – Tuesdays 12-2pm ET starting February 13, ending March 19 

Session #5 – Tuesdays 6:30pm to 8:30pm ET starting February 13, ending March 19
